I hope how I spent New Year's Eve night is not indicative of how 2009 will be (lonely). Last year I spent the holiday snow boarding with my boyfriend, and that relationship didn't turn out so well by the middle of 2008. So, maybe spending this New Year's alone will not be indicative what's to come...quien sabe?
Regardless of any objection we have, welcome to 2009!
As a news story of interest... a Carnival Cruise line employee fell overboard Carnival Sensation this morning, proving New Years could be worse than spending it alone. Below is the article, and the picture is actually one I took as it pulled in beside us while we were in Bahamas.

happy new year, girl!!! i stayed home with mom this year so she wouldn't be alone, so i didn't ring the year in as i would have liked either. that's become a pattern lately, but i think that sometimes being alone gives us more time to reflect and really gear up for the coming year like we should! AND....thanks for posting that story! there are MUCH worse ways to ring in the year..obviously!! when i stop to think about it....there are alot of folks that i should be praying for on NYE! so yeah...thanks for the reminder! love u!
